Ministry Jubilee 2006

Ministry Jubilee is an opportunity for designated giving to a diversity of
mission and ministry projects sponsored by our annual conference and our covenant
partners. Our Jubilee gifts are above and beyond the meeting of our apportionments
by each local congregation. One hundred percent of every contribution
to Ministry Jubilee projects goes to the project designated by the giver. Any
and all jubilee gifts designated as Agency Gifts will be directed
to that agency to make decisions about which projects need the support. The contributions
made as Jubilee Gifts will be directed by the Conference Council on Ministries
in support of items not fully funded in the designated Ministry Jubilee funding
process. The projects have been received by the respective Board, Commission,
Committee or Agency of our Annual Conference, reviewed and accepted to be placed
as a project worthy of your consideration and gifts. These projects are reviewed
by the respective boards and agencies throughout the year with regard to their
support and ministry. Take the time now to read through the many and diverse
ministry and mission projects listed in the Ministry
Jubilee Spotlight 2006. Make your decisions and designate
your jubilee pledges and gifts to the projects that you are led to support through
prayer, discernment and love.
The Outreach Committee at West Side U.M.C. chooses these projects annually.
The choices made are made trusting in faith for their fulfillment with pledge
amounts in December (2005) to the Detroit Conference. The choices are then part
of the next year Outreach commitment (2006).
