Hendrix Library is located in the lower level, just before the hallway turns a corner. It is dedicated in memory of Mrs. Roberta C. Hendrix, who served as the church librarian for 15 years. The Library currently houses about 900 books for adults, 350 books for children, and a small collection CDs and VHS videos. The Library is open to the church community whenever the building is open, except when there is a meeting scheduled. There are comfortable sofas and chairs as well as a small table. Please feel free to spend a time of quiet reading or contemplation.
The Library is maintained by a team of volunteers, and we are looking for people to help run the Library. If you think working with books and through books is the type of ministry for you, and would like to join the Library Team, please contact Mary Marzec, the Director of Discipleship at the church, 663-4164, or contact her by email.
The Library collection can be divided into three major groups.
Each is located in a separate area. (See library floorplan) As you enter the library, you will find the books for adults on the wall shelves to the left, children's books in the near corner by the window, and audio visual materials on the shelf next to the Librarian's desk right by the entrance.
Hendrix Library's mission is to serve the church community as a resource for Christian education, spiritual growth, and community caring and sharing. The materials housed in the Library reflects this mission.
