The Library appreciates donations of materials and funds to purchase new materials.
Books: We welcome donations of second hand books. Books must be in good condition: no broken bindings, no highlighting or underlining, no notes or writing in the margins, no torn or missing pages, no water damage, and no excessive yellowing of the pages.
The Library reserves the right to dispose of books not deemed appropriate for the collection. The books not accepted will be passed on to other organizations that can make better use of the materials, or returned to the donor. When you bring the books to the library, please indicate whether you would like any of the books not deemed appropriate returned to you. Please contact a member of the Library Team or the Church Office before bringing books to the Library. We do not accept periodicals (magazines and journals).
Audio/Visual materials: We welcome donations of CDs and DVDs that are appropriate for the collection. They must be in playable condition (no damages or scratches). We no longer accept materials on cassette tape, vinyl records, or VHS tape.
Financial Contributions: Financial contributions will be used to purchase books, CDs, and DVDs for the library. Please make your checks payable to the West Side United Methodist Church, and designate it for Hendrix Library.
