West Side is a church that LOVES our children! Our hope for all our children and youth is that they will know they are loved and valued by God and by our church family. We try to make this a place of learning where everyone, no matter what age and capabilities, are welcome.
The Christian Education Committee Announces the New Fall Schedule!
September 12, 2010
Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m.
Worship begins at 10:30 a.m.
* Nursery with a paid childcare provider (begins at 9 a.m.)
* 2 and 3 year old class
* 4 year olds–5th grade begins in the Sanctuary with 15 minutes of storytelling, songs, and fun with Mary, afterwards they will go to their classrooms
* 6th and 7th grade class
* Confirmation Class begins for those 8th, 9th and 10th graders who are interested
* High school class including 8th graders not in the Confirmation Class
Sunday school will end at 10:15 a.m., giving everyone time to pick up their children and make their way in to the worship service.
During the Worship Service
Nursery with a paid child care provider
Toddler room for 2 and 3 year olds
4 year olds – 2nd grades will leave sometime during the worship service to attend “Kids Own Worship” to reinforce the lessons learned during Sunday school
Third grade and up will stay for the worship service
We are planning on providing age appropriate Christian Education material for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders as we realize this is a big change for them. Please pick up a copy on your way into the worship service, but save it until the sermon if you can☺
Summer Schedule
Childcare is provided during our worship service for ages birth to 3 years. In June, July and August there is a Sunday School class for children ages 4 through 2nd grade.
